International Professional Certificates
GPMA offers five internationally recognized certifications in strategic planning and execution. These certifications vary in scope and are structured across three tiers: Practitioner, Professional, and Expert.
The GPMA Strategic Framework covers ten core phases of strategy development and execution. Each phase is supported by a dedicated training program developed by GPMA.
Participants may register for any course individually, based on their specific needs.
To earn one of the five professional certifications, candidates must complete a designated number of these ten training programs, as outlined in the table below.
Certified Key Performance Indicators Professional
This certification provides a structured methodology for developing high-impact KPIs, emphasizing analytical integrity, strategic alignment, and measurement coherence.
Certification Requirements
- A university degree or at least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Completion of the “Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)” training program and passing the final exam.
- Completing a practical application assignment to develop strategic KPIs with methodological accuracy and internal balance.
Certified Strategic Planning and KPIs Practitioner
This certification equips professionals with the foundational skills to develop strategic plans and design meaningful performance indicators. It emphasizes practical application and alignment between organizational objectives and KPIs, enabling practitioners to contribute effectively to strategy execution.
Certification Requirements
- A university degree or at least five years of relevant professional experience.
- Completion of two training programs: “Strategic Analysis and Strategy Formulation” and “Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)” and passing their exams.
Certified Strategic Planning Professional
This advanced certification is designed for professionals seeking to master the full lifecycle of strategic planning and execution. It provides in-depth expertise across multiple disciplines -from strategic analysis to performance evaluation -enabling participants to lead strategic initiatives with confidence and competence.
Certification Requirements
- A university degree or at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Completion of six training programs (as shown in the diagram) and passing the exam for each.
Certified Performance Management Professional
This certification is designed for experienced professionals aiming to lead and optimize organizational performance. It provides deep expertise in designing, measuring, analyzing, and improving performance at all levels. The program emphasizes practical tools and methodologies for continuous improvement and aligning performance with strategic objectives.

- A university degree or at least seven years of relevant professional experience.

Certified Strategic Planning and Performance Management Expert

- A university degree or at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Completion of all ten training programs and passing their exams.
- Completion of a practical project and submission for evaluation by the certification committee.

This certification is tailored specifically for professionals working in or with the nonprofit sector. It provides specialized knowledge and practical tools for designing and implementing performance indicators that reflect the unique missions, values, and impact Objectives of nonprofit organizations. Participants will gain the ability to build KPIs that are both methodologically sound and strategically balanced within the nonprofit context.
