Program Overview
Performance data analytics and visualization are one of the most critical steps in the cycle of strategic planning and performance management as it equips organizations with the needed insight into what is going in their organizations. It helps clarifies actual progress made in achieving strategic objectives and what were the key drivers and obstacles of progress. This module provides a wide spectrum of basic and advanced tools used in data analytics and visualization at four different levels of analysis:
Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive. The Module includes several varied hands-on applied examples to provide application opportunities for participants.

Upon the successful completion of the module, participants should be able to:
- Identify the key trends in data analysis and visualization
- Understand the different levels and purposes of data analytics
- Recognize and use the tools of descriptive data analysis for measuring central tendency and dispersion.
- Use the tools of inferential statistics for estimation and hypothesis testing
- Use correlation and regression analysis to discover and measure the correlation between multiple variables.
- Perform analysis of variance to attribute variances to its sources.
- Perform time series analysis for forecasting future values of performance measures
- Identify nine key categories of data visualization
- Identify popular data analytics applications and criteria for selection
- Know how to use data for storytelling
